Would you like to learn how to say "Hello" in French? Or even learn how to state your name. Would you like to hold a short conversation in the Romance language, talking about yourself and asking others about themselves? The wait is over. The search has only just begun.
This WebQuest focuses on French Greetings
Activities posted here are geared towards increasing competence in the French language as well as useful notes that include vocabulary, and basic expressions that are useful when greeting individuals as well as talking about oneself.
Task
Task 1
Watch a video that highlights some of the major French expressions used when greeting, introducing oneself and giving other details about oneself. Try to recall at least 5 expressions mentioned in the video.
Task 2
Play a game that tests your knowledge of French conversational expressions.
Task 3
Download a document that contains a 'Fill- in -the- blank' activity. When you have completed the activity evaluate your performance using the rubric in the evaluation tab.
Process
1. French Greetings Video
As an introductory activity watch the Youtube video below to acquaint yourself with common expressions used when greeting others in French.
2. Play a game
After acquainting yourself with expressions from the video, click on the link below to test your knowledge of French conversational expressions.

3. Do a self-evaluation of what you have learned.
Go to the evaluation tab and answer the questions. Determine how many French greeting expressions you were able to remember by the end of this WebQuest.
