Introduction
Economist have discovered the sweet taste of the maple syrup that we all love will cost company who buy the maple syrup, $1,000.00 per gallon. This research has been discovered by the close of 2014. What do you believe are the causes of the high cost of maple syrup? Do you think that it is the effects of global warming? Are the Maple Trees in New England endanger due to global warming? It is our job to one explore how the weather can affect the sap of a maple tree, in order to have a successful sugaring season, what are the elements needed? Once the information has been collected each student should write a summary of the possibilities to save the maple trees, if it is necessary to start stock up on maple syrup.
Task
Have each student break into groups of three of four. Have the students collect the key points of global warming and climate change. Make sure you list on the white board the following items that should be answered:
1) Economic Consequences
2) Environmental Impact
3) Impact on Human Society
It is necessary that you provice a research guide with questions as well as web links to assist the students with their notes. Each student will need to create a PowerPoint presentation once all information has been collected from the student's research to present to the class.
Process
Provide the students with three main topics:
1) How long has global warming and climate change been present?
2) What evidence have you found to support your response?
3) What are some of the economic consequences that global warming and climat change may have already caused to the local economy? Provide examples.
4) In the future, how will global warming and climage cahnge the local economy?
5) As a society do you think it is possible to stop global warming and climate change, what can we do now to adapt out local economy?
6) Can you provide if any specific lifestyle change that can affect a long term consequences of global warming and climate cahnges?

Conclusion
After the students have shared with their class the presentations provide a certificate of certification as a job well done of being Economists and how to save maply syrup. The class can now share with their peers how global warming is chagnging our lives. The economic consequences global warming is having on our environment. If the type of tree that grows in New England will be more tropical instead of an all season tree. Once all presentations have been collected and graded, this will be put into the Economic Folder on Global Warming for students and parents to view.
