Introduction

Good Morning dear students....

Today we are going to learn about the first three stanzas of the poem MARVELLOUS TRAVEL written by Joshua Fernandez

Travelling is a way of getting to know the world, finding out new people and learning about their lives. 

Here, the poet shares his views on travel.

Marvellous Travel is a beautiful poem written by Joshua Fernandez about his travelling experience. This poem depicts the life of a person who leaves everything to enter a journey. He describes what he has seen or felt through out this experience while he leaves.

About the writer

Joshua Fernandez (b. 1974) is a Malaysian film director and designer who believes in creative collaboration. He first started working in the film industry from 1995 onwards and made his directorial debut in the year 2000. One of the co-founders of BOO Films SDN BHD (Malaysian film production company), Joshua served as its Executive Producer between 1998-2001.He has produced dance music and released a number of track music numbers.

 Task 2

 Summary of First three stanza's of the poem

The poet himself is the speaker.

He says that he travels watching carefully the people and their pains and silent cries.

He asks them why someone dear to them left them without saying goodbye

The poet travels thinking about different people enjoying various sights.

He travels with his pen to write about his travel experiences and about the people he meets

He speaks with people he meet; he hopes to have new experiences that will change his life.

Wherever he travels - in Asia, America or Europe - he hopes for new and interesting experiences.
