Introduction
-Baseball is all about numbers. Every part of the game has something to do with math from batting average and ERA, to home run distances and jersey numbers. Pretty much every part of the game is about numbers and stats.
-Big baseball fans are largely obsessed with sabermetrics, which is the application of statistical analysis to baseball records, especially in order to evaluate and compare the performance of individual players. That just means different stats that are kept track of by numbers.
Task
The reason for this webquest is to enrich yourself with knowledge of baseball, its history, and players. You are going to research diffrerent stats from different players throughout history. These stats can include anything on the back of a baseball card like position, sabermetrics, and jersey number. You will be required to find a certain amount of players and their info.
This webquest will inform you about how meaningful stats are to the fans of baseball. Depending on who the player is, they might even care about stats! You will complete a few activities about this topic using the links that are provided.
