Introduction

Imagine that you are in charge of the Ancient Museum and your job is to research about the new exhibit 'MESOPOTAMIA ART' that explores the different architectures, structures, sculptures, ceramics, and reliefs of the Mesopotamia era.

Task

Your exhibit will include information about the different artworks from the Mesopotamia period.

You will have to research about the following artworks:

  • Ziggurats

  2. Ziggurat of Babylon
  • Palaces
  1. Khorsabad Palace
  2. Babylon Palace
  • Wonders of the Ancient World
  1. Hanging Gardens of Babylon
  • Sculptures and Reliefs
  1. Ishtar Gate
  2. Standard of Ur
  3. Lion
  4. Steele of Hammurabi
Process

With Canva, Powerpoint, or Google docs, create a presentation with the following information of the artworks:

  1. What is it and why was it built? Include a brief description (3-5 sentences) and picture/s of the artwork.
  2. When was it built? During which time period?
  3. Where was it built?
  4. Who built it? You can include not just one civilization.
  5. How was it built? What was the process and what materials were used?
