Miss Tyra's 3rd Grade Community Helpers WebQuest

Introduction

Hello class, We are going to do a WebQuest. We are going to explore the role of people who you might recognize from your community. People like Firefighters, bus drives, Libirans, police officers and many more. Today we get the chance to learn more about the people who live and serve in our community. There are many different people working in purist of a happy, healthy, and safe community. And today you will gain a more in-depth understanding of a few of these different roles and how they directly impact you.

Task

You all will be able to sperate into groups of your choosing, no more than three. Your job is to work with your group to create a Help wanted poster. Everyone in the group must be responsible for at least one part of gathering research. You will make a paper poster; with any community helper your group agrees on. Your Help wanted poster must include a title, a picture of the job, a brief description on the job role, and then at least 4 sentences on how they impact the community.

Process

Step One- Decide who you are going to work with and get together.

Step Two- Pick the community helper to do the help wanted poster on.

Step Three- Gather all materials and papier to gather research.

Step Four- Research and use information fill out your preparation sheet.

Step five- Transfer information from preparation sheet on to poster.

Step Six- Draw pictures and color. Make it look nice!!

Step 7- Finaly step make sure everyone in the group have their name on the paper and Turn it in.

Now as we close out our web quest, I hope you guys had fun. This assignment is extra important because these job can be your future. Helping our community is vital and learning about those who help our community be a better place can only help us. I hope along this quest you were able to learn more about the people who impact your dally life.
