Attention Students!
You have been working hard on improving your math skills this year. Your teacher has decided to reward you with lunch at a local restaurant! But hold on, there's a catch!
Have you ever heard anyone say... there's no such thing as a free lunch? Well, it's true -- you will have to eat on a limited budget, figure out the total bill, determine the tip, and make correct change! I hope you have the MATH MUNCHIES!
Task
For this Webquest, your teacher will assign you a restaurant and given a budget. In order to "earn" your lunch, you will need to order within the budget, determine the correct tip, and make correct change. You will need to use the skills you have learned in math class to complete this Webquest. Good luck and get HUNGRY to learn!

Process
Directions:
1. You will be given 100 AED to spend on your lunch.
2. Click on the assigned restaurant link below, and look through the menu.
Pizza HutChili'sApplebee's3. You must pick a drink, an appetizer, and a meal. Write down each of your choices and the price for each item on the Food Order Ticket.4. Add up the total price of your meal (drink and food) on the Food Order Ticket. 5. Now, you will need to decide how much to tip your waitress. You may tip 10%, 15%, or 20% of your total bill. Decide what percent tip to leave and add that amount to the Final Food Price on the Food Order Ticket. Please show your work for figuring the tip and record your answer on the Tip sheet.Example: Final Food Price: 60.00 AED 10% 60 x .10 = 6.00 AED tip 15% 60 x .15 = 9.00 AED tip 20% 60 x .20 = 12.00 AED Tip 6. Please show your work and record your answer on the Cost Calculation Sheet. Then, subtract the amount you owe from the 100 AED bill. Show your work and record your answer on this same sheet. 7. When your have completed the Webquest you will turn in the Food Order Ticket, the Tip Worksheet, and the Cost Calculation Sheet. Please make sure all of your name is on each page and stapled together.
Evaluation
Your teacher will look over your packet with you and ask you to explain your results.
Conclusion
Congratulations! You just learned to use your math skills in a way that will be important the next time you visit a restaurant! Best of all, you got a "FREE LUNCH" for using math! What could be better than that? The next time you go out to eat with your family, show them what you have learned--they will be so impressed!
