Introduction
In the last decade, the arts in schools have slowly been taken away from our students. This eradication in many schools is often times due to the fact that the arts are not considered to be an important aspect to the education of our students today. However, according to many researchers and the countless studies they have performed have shown that the arts in our schools can successfully give our students everything we have hoped out students could acheieve. From higher test scores, better understanding of math, enhanced cognative abilities, and a multitude of other benefits, the arts in school have been proven many times to be incredibly vital to a student's well rounded education.
So even though there is scientific reasoning for why the arts in schools can benefit students, why is it that the arts programs in our schools today are stuggling to survive and a being cut at a higher rate than ever before?

Conclusion
In Conclusion
We have learned that there are many benefits to having and keeping arts educations in our schools. Through the arts our students can express themselves and according to various scientific studies, will do better in the classroom and in life. However, due to budget cuts and the strain put on our teachers and administators to prepare our students for nation or state mandated exams, the arts is often the first to go. There are numerous organizations that have formed on the basis of saving the arts, and if you want to get involved on a higher lever, please feel free to look into these organizations or maybe even write to your local and state representatives.
