Introduction

In 45 B.C.,New Year's Day is celebrated on January 1 for the first time in history as the Julian calendar.So, January 1 New Year's Day is the international day of the new year each country is different.

Task

Read New Year each country and give your opinion.

  • Read New Year stories two (2) different cultures, you may choose any of the culture. Find others at the local library, or read culture found on the web.
  • Fill in the chart for each story you read.

Evaluation

Answer  Food in 2 culture (1 point) ,Clothing in 2 culture (1 point), Activity in 2 culture (1 point), Tense (3 point) and the last on Opinion (3 point). The students have to pass 7 point from 10 point.  

Conclusion

1.Students will learn about the new year for each country.

2. Students can practice reading skills.

3.Students practice using grammar correctly.
