Introduction
The Freedom Writers is a diary made up of journal entries by students in Long Beach, California. Their school, Woodrow Wilson Classical High School, is very segregated and has very high racial tension. Their new English teacher, Erin Gruwell, is handed the job of teaching the students that on one thought had potential. Most of these students are involved in gang violence, drugs, and consider it is miracle to live each and every day. Mrs. Gruwell brings all of the stuents together and tecahes them to love each other no matter what they look like. Her students continued on to be one of the first people in their family to graduate high school and go to college.

Task
Mrs. Gruwell invited Miep Gies,the lady who hid Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis, to come and talk to her students. While Miep Gies was speaking, one of Mrs. Gruwell's students told Miep Gies that she was his hero. In response Miep Gies said "no, all of you are my heros". Keeping this is mind you will do multiple tasks depicting what a hero is.
