Introduction
We have been reading books by Laura Numeroff. Now you get to learn more about the author! We are going to visit several websites to read about Laura while she was growing up.
Task
After we have read the books by Laura Numeroff, you will visit a few websites to learn more about her. You will fill in the chart with facts about Laura Numeroff when she was growing up. Then you will use those facts to write a biographical paragraph about her.
Process
Step 1: Read the books If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, If You Give Moose a Muffin, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and Dogs Don't Wear Sneakers.
Step 2: Read the information about Laura Numeroff on these three websites
Step 3: Fill out the graphic organizer with information about Laura Numeroff. Be sure to write at least one fact from each site and tell which page the information came from.
Step 4: Write a paragraph using the information you gathered to write a paragraph telling a friend about Laura Numeroff. Make sure to use complete sentences!
Evaluation
You will be assessed on the following:
Completing the graphic organizer neatly (so I can read it)
Including at least one fact from each website visited
Writing a paragraph that includes at least three facts about Laura Numeroff
Indenting your paragraph correctly
Using correct grammar, capitalization, and spelling in your paragraph
