Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor

Introduction

Welcome to China! Imagine you are now in Xi An, and the place that you are visiting is Mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor, which is one of the wonders in the world. 

You are having a three-day educational trip to Xi'an now. During the trip, you are required to form a team of five and perform activities. Through the activities, you will know more about how to use English to describe a place, write signs and report the daily life there. At the same time, you need to include some grammatical points in your writing, such as the usage of tenses(stage1), commands(stage2) and reported speech(stage3).

Task

The teacher is asking your team to complete three English tasks during this trip. According to what have been mentioned before in the Introduction part, students have to go through three stages and come up with a travelling report at the end.

Process

Christmas holiday is coming, and you are going to Xi'an with your group members to find out more information about this historic place in China.

DAY 1

On the first day, you go to the Mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor. As a very famous world heritage, there is surely lots of interesting things waiting for you to discover. You need to write a report to introduce this amazing legacy by using past, present and future tenses.

DAY 2

 

While you are visiting this scenic spot, you may find some signs for tourists. However, many of those signs are wrong, so your mission is to correct those mistakes.

DAY 3 

Being familiar with the current development of a place could not make your trip meaningful. It is also necessary to know about people's life there. So, on the third day, you are required to do some interviews with the locals there.
