Japan Documentary

Introduction

You are a documentary film maker, and you want to make a documentary on the history of Japan from approximately  700 - 1500 AD.  You don't have the funds to make your documentary so you have to create a presentation to sell your idea to a film company.

Task

Your task is to create a Prezi presentation that will contain all the highlights and important points that you want to include in your documentary.  Remember, you want to convince someone to fund this project for you, so you need to include information and pictures on the topics that you want to cover.

Process

You will research the history of Japan using the internet, and your textbook (if needed).  You will need to include the following information.

1.  Japan's geography.

2. An explanation of how Japan's geography affected the development of its civilization.

3. The Nara Period 700-800 AD

4. Heian Japan 794-1192 AD

5. The Feudal Age

6. The Onin War

7. The Tokugawa Era

8. Shoguns

9. Religion in Japan

You must also include a bibliography of the websites where you found your information.

You will need to decide what is important to include in your presentation.  You may want to include information on how people lived, the samuri, the role religion played, and how each period in Japan's history began and ended.  You will also need to decide if and where you should include pictures or maps.

You have two weeks to complete this project.
