Diverse family forms are found in the Caribbean. These forms are not only the result of our past but are also influenced by current situations such as the impact of industrialization and urban life on society.
There is no single definition of the term ‘family’, as the concept and structure of families varies greatly from culture to culture. One definition is: A social unit created by birth, marriage and other sexual relationships or adoption living together in a single household. The family is the most basic social unit in a society and performs some very important functions.

Task
Today you will be learning more about the types of families in the Caribbean.
Your task is to prepare a presentation that will help students to understand the distinction among the different family types in the Caribbean, the advantages and the disadvantages of each family type.
During the webquest your task is to gather information from websites and videos that explain the structure and composition of the various family forms in the Caribbean. You will also be required to make your presentation in creative ways using technology.

Conclusion
