Introduction

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Good people of the UCICDS Kingdom, lend me your ears!

A Webquest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that you will need will come from the web. In other words, you will follow hyperlinks to answer questions and complete tasks. This particular Webquest will be on Medieval Europe, the Middle Ages, the Dark Ages...whatever you want to call it.

The Driving Question for this project is:

Along with the Driving Question, you will also be answering the following essential questions?

  1. What influence did the Roman Catholic Church have on Medieval Europe?
  2. How did fuedalism establish order in Europe during the Middle Ages?
  3. What was daily life like for peasants/serfs, knights, lords and ladies, and kings and queens?
  4. How was the King's power strengthened and then limited during Medieval Europe?
  5. Why did Western Europe go on crusades, and what were their effects?
  6. How did the Black Death affect Europe during the late middle ages?
