The Amazon Rainforest

Task

You will be conducting online research about the Amazon Rainforest.  As you are researching, identify one thing that you would like to learn a lot more about.  You can focus on a fauna (animal), flora (plant), climate aspect and impact, specific environmental issue, or another topic of your choice that has been approved by myself.  

Take as many note on your specific topic as you can.  In your notes you will need to cite your information.  This means you need to identify either the website, author, or photographer of the content that you have taken notes on.

After you have completed this webquest you will create your own individualized research through the Boise School District Databases.  This will help you gain information on your specific topic.  Through your research you will learn how to search, collect, cite, and takes notes from online sources.  This is a skill that will be neccessary in your future as a students and possibly even your carreer.  

Lastly, you will take al of your research notes and create a visual project that can stand alone with a paragraph explaination.  You will be displaying your project to the class next week when we have our gallery walk.  (maybe make this so that we can have 7 people present at a time while the others choose a table to visit to learn more.  Like the inquiry project.)
