Introduction
Journalism is a term that extends beyond the printed page to the internet, as exhibited in our own school paper. With this Webquest, we will explore the benefits of journalism on varying news sites.
Task
You are going to visit several different online newspapers and examine them for content and format.
Content: The kind of information that is in the newspaper (World news? Local news?)
Format: How the website looks (How are the pictures laid out? How many stories are there? Are there tabs at the top? How many print types are there? Is it all news, with no entertainment stories? Are there any cartoons?)
Process
Explore at least eight of the ten newspapers. Answer the questions on your worksheet.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/
Evaluation
In a paragraph of 5-7 sentences, answer this question: How does print journalism differ from online journalism?
(If you need a reference of print journalism, please see Ms. Vermillion or Ms. Bradshaw for a page of The Arizona Republic, for comparison)
