Introduction

Grab a suitcase, and head to the airport. We are heading out to visit the Rainforest. Which animal will you be for a day?

Task
Your job is to help your team members observe and analyze an animal in the rainforest. Have fun exploring.


Process
Step One: Teacher will assign each group of five (depending on class size) a specific rainforest animal.
Step Two: Students will use the websites provided below to research the animal they were assigned.

Step Three: Students will analyze and fill out details about their animal on a sheet provided below.
Step Four: Students will then use the information gathered to create a powerpoint for their animal as a group. All students must participate in helping create it and also when presenting.
Step Five: After the worksheet and powerpoint are finished, each individual student will use a piece of paper and fill out a journal as if they are the animal they were assigned for a whole day.
Step Six: Each group will present their powerpoint to the class. While this is going on, the following students will fill out information about the animal being presented on the worksheet already provided. At the end, the students will turn in their powerpoints, journals, and worksheet.

Conclusion
Now that the students have learned about multiple animals living in the rainforest it can spark their interest to learn about more animals. Also, students have now become more familiar and experienced with the program PowerPoint in an interesting and fun way.
