Children are exposed to many communicable diseases during their school environment. These diseases can greatly interrupt a students learning and have a devestating effect on attendance and student numbers within the classroom or school as a whole.
Through this unit we will gain an understanding of three common diseases being; measles, headlice and chicken pox, how they are spread, recognised and treated.

This task will be completed in pairs and key areas that should be addressed are;
- a brief history of the diesease/condition
- signs and symptoms
- how it is contracted and spread?
- treatment
- is there any preventions?
Process
Using investigation skills your are to research the information to complete this task. Some useful websites to assist in beginning the activity are;
