Bacteria WebQuest

Introduction

Today, you will be learning all about bacteria. You may think bacteria are gross but after you learn about how these prokaryotes (single-celled organisms without a nucleous)operate, you'll begin to think bacteria are super cool!

Essential Question: What is bacteria and how does it grow?

Task

Your assigned task is to complete the guided worksheet by doing a variety of four different computer activities.

*Be sure to write down missing words, labels, and your BrainPop score.

Process

Visit the websites located under the *credits* tab. Use your guided worksheet to guide you from website to website. You will need to visit all the websites in the order that your guided worksheet states and write down any missing words, labels, and your BrainPOP score in order to get full credit.

After you complete the entire WebQuest, explore the links provided on the "Teacher's Page".

First of all, I hope you learned something new!

What we consider to be bacteria were the first living organisms on Earth to live! Thousands of species of bacteria exist today. Bacteria are all around us and we come into contact with it every day. In fact, we house 2 to 5 pounds of bacteria inside our bodies! You see, not all bacteria is bad, but it is beneficial to learn about how bacteria grows and exists so we can prevent bad bacteria from infesting.
