Introduction
In this quest you will each be finding the dimensions of a mini golf course! In completing this task, you will each learn how things you learned in geometry can be used in real world situations. You may each be in a group of two, each person assigned to one of the dimensions you are trying to find.
Task
Are you ready to go?
Get into pairs and decide amongst you who is going to find the volume, and who is going to find the area.
With the given dimensions, it is up to you to solve for any and all of the missing sides.
Determine the characteristics of potential segments of the course.
Process
You will be given two days to complete the assignment
You may choose your partner
Remember! We are only working in PAIRS
Choose whom in the class you want to work with. If there are an odd number of students then consult your teacher.
Determine between you who is going to be discovering which proportions.
Solve for each dimension, and work as a team to construct your own feature onto the already existing course. (Ex: A snack bar, any kind of obstacle, an extension of the course)
