Then & Now Reasearch Project

Introduction

This year we have looked at several regions & civilizations in Social Studies including:

  1. Mesopotamia (Modern Iraq)
  2. Egypt
  3. Ancient China
  4. Ancient Greece

The people we studied delt with various issues concerning geography, religion, and politics. With this projet we will not only revisit the issues of the past, but we will explore the issues the people of their respective regions are dealing with today!

Task

Your Task is to explore what issues the society you were assigned  delt with in antiquity, or ancient times, and the issues the people of that region are dealing with today.  

All issues should be viewed through an analytical lense.  Some analytical lenses are:

  • Geography
  • Religion 
  • Politics 
  • Economics
  • The Arts
  • Education
  • Conflict
  • Enviornment
