Rationale
Economics is important for everyone to understand. Students need to understand economics because its help them make better decisions as consumers. Economics helps us better understand how money is earned, used and saved. However, it is more than about money. It helps us understand the role of the government and how various events can increase or decrease prices of goods and services. Economics can help students understand the global economy. This lesson is designed to help students in grades 5-6 differentiate between goods and services, resources and understand what happens when theres scarcity in goods and services.
