Introduction
Task
It is the beginning of the school year and you have joined the staff at a local elementary school which has been deemed to be a failing school by the Board of Education. You have been given a class of 50 students who are all performing below grade level.
Write a mission statement for your class and create a plan for instilling values and attitudes in your class in order to help them achieve their personal, emotional and educational goals.

- Choose a grade and 5 core values you will promote in your classroom to help your children accomplish their goals.

2. Describe each core value and name its components in terms of the specific behaviours that are expected. Describe the strategies that you will use to foster these values.

3. The Meet the Characters site uses the stories of 9 children to demonstrate values and attitudes. Note what the value looks like, sounds like, feels like and the benefit of practicing the value. Provide evidence from at least three stories.
