You will learn about economics by visiting a mall, performing a service, and dining at a restaurant.
Process
Wandering Through Wants and Needs:
You have arrived at the Economania Mall. You can find all sorts of things at the mall; those that you NEED and those that you WANT. Needs are things that people must have in order to live. For example, food and water are things you need to survive. WANTS are things people would like to have. Examples might be a Smart TV, the newest Nike sneakers, or a cell phone.
- Open the Wants and Needs doc to record your purchases. You will have $300 to spend. $200 must be spent on things you NEED. The remaining $100 can be spent on things that you WANT.
- Please spend wisely.
Evaluation
You will be graded on your participation, completion of work, and how well you can explain the terms withn the Webquest.
