Introduction
This WebQuest is a review of the Associative Property of Addition and Multiplication.
Task
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a teacher? Have you ever thought about how hard it is to explain something to someone who doesn't know anything about a subject? Your job for this project is to take your newly acquired knowledge about the Associative Property and share it with those that may not know.
Before you begin, test out a few of these problems here <http://www.studyzone.org/mtestprep/math8/e/assoc6p.cfm> to see if you have the hang of it.
Process
Part 1: Complete the practice problems with your partner.
Part 2 and 3 are to be split between you and your partner.
Part 2: Write an explanation to tell someone how you can tell if an equation fits the Associative Property. Assume that the person you are talking to knows nothing about the property, just like you knew nothing about it when you started. You will write step by step directions telling the person what to do. This must be neatly written and if you finish ahead of time, you will be able to type your explanations on the computers,
Part 3: Write 5 sample questions of your own just like you were going to test the person you just taught. You can use questions similar to the ones that you just practiced with. You can use multiple choice, fill in the blank or matching. It’s completely up to you!
Part 4: Type your explantion and save it under your documents. Be sure to spell all words corretcly and save when you are done. Title it "Associative Property by your name".
