Introduction
Welcome back to your four-part online comparative study for the HSC Business Studies topic of Marketing.
This is the second of the four parts. In the first part, you were introduced to the case study of Coca-Cola. Now you will be introduced to the case study of Red Bull. In the following parts, you will complete a comparative study on the two brands. Upon the completion of the online comparative study, you should have a strong understanding and application of marketing and marketing issues, as well as two case studies to support your knowledge.

Task
You have been hired as a marketing consultant by a new entrepreneurial business that is considering entering the beverage market. Your task is to do some marketing research on its potential competitors.
You have previously completed some research on the case study of Coca-Cola. The case study that you will now research is Red Bull.

Open your Word document. Using the video and your own extended online research, complete the following activities:
- Outline the key events that led to the creation and evolution of Red Bull.
- Create a timeline that highlights these events.
- Briefly analyse how Red Bull as impacted on your life. Include in your answer your consumption of Red Bull (or lack of), how its marketing affects you (or does not), and how its marketing does (or does not) correlate with your consumption habits.

- In your Word document, create a table with four collumns. Each collumn represents each of the four Ps of the marketing mix (product, price, place and promotion). Complete the table with reference to Red Bull.
- Open CmapTools, and create a concept map. The concept is factors influencing consumer choice regarding Red Bull. Stemming from this concept are to be the main influences, which are psychological, sociocultural, economic and government. Then elaborate on the concept map. Ensure that clear links are properly shown so that you can create a level 2 or 3 concept map.
