Task

The first thing you will be learning about is mean.

defintion of mean:

The average of a group of numbers.

First you are going to need a set of numbers. Lets go with 56, 79, 44, 37, and 18.

Now, you are going to add them up.

After you add them you are going to divide them by how many numbers you have.

In this case, we have 5 numbers, so you are going to divide 234 by 5.

In the end, you should have 46.8

Process

next thing you will be learning about median.

Definition of median:

the middle number of a row of numbers

First of all, you are going to need a set of numbers.

lets go with 58, 35, 49, 21, and 13.

Now you are going to put them in numerical order.

numerical order is when you put them in order from smallest to largest.

So you should have 13, 21, 35, 49, 58.

Now you cross out the sides until you get to the middle.

You should end up with 35.

Evaluation

Now you are going to learn about mode.

Definition of mode:

the number that appears most in a set of numbers.

First of all, you are going to need a set of numbers.

lets go with 36, 17, 25, 42, 36, 78, 21, 36

Now, you are going to find the number that appears most often.

You should end up with 36

Conclusion

Lastly, you are going to learn about range.

Definition of range:

the difference between the highest and lowest number

First of all you are going to need a set of numbers.

lets go with 47, 52, 39, 28, and 15

Now you are going to find the largest and smallest number.

You should have 15 and 52

Now, you are going to subtract them.

You should end up with 37
