Introduction
This quest challenges you to investigate persuasive writing.
You are an alien from Planet Mars who commands a 5000-alien strong royal army. Recently, you discovered Planet Earth and all its goodness - lush rainforests, endless oceans, beautiful cities and the 7.4 billion strange-looking creatures inhabiting it.
Your job is to write a persuasive piece to convince the President of Mars, Sir M. Artian, to allow you and the royal army to invade and take over Planet Earth.
Task
The task contains two main elements:
1. In pairs, create a presentation on either Powerpoint or Prezi on 3 - 5 reasons why the aliens should invade Planet Earth.
2. Each pair will craft a persuasive essay at the end of this unit.

Conclusion
Persuasive writing is a skill that you can and will likely use outside of school. Having effective persuasive skills is an asset, and are especially useful to politicians, salespersons and advertising copywriters.
