Music History

Introduction

By Sam Miser

This webquest is geared toward sixth to eighth grade students. The objective of this project is for students to work as a group to learn about the history and relationships of historical instruments in context to their historical period, and to modern day instrumentation.

Introduction

Like in the genetics of humans, the study of ancestors of instruments can give us insight into the traits, strengths, and weaknesses of the current generation of instrumentations. Having a better understanding of the evolution of instruments can give us a strong understanding of how to properly utilize the instruments.
