What's My Future?

Introduction

Let's take a trip into the future. The year is 2035 and you are getting ready for an evening of fun, food, and laughter at your high school reunion dinner. It's been 10 years since you have graduated Campbell High School and moved onto the next chapter of your life. You're excited to see old friends, hear what they have been up to, and reminisce over old times. 

As you reconnect with friends from the past, you find yourself amazed and highly interested by all the career choices your friends have made. Paul is a neuropsychologist in Boston specializing in the treatment of ADHD; Evan is the Assistant Curator of Large Mammals at the Memphis Zoo; Lego hired Tara as a plastics engineer to design new characters; Glenn travels the world using his video and editing skills for The Travel Channel; Alec, a CPA, ownes his own accounting firm; Andrea is a master electrician who's company focuses on commercial contracts; Aaron, codes on a daily basis as a freelance software engineer working for some of the biggest gaming companies out there. Now it's your turn to let everyone know what you have been up to. What's your career? 

Using your research and analysis skills, this journey will provide you with the opportunity to answer the question "What's my future?"

Throughout this webquest you will be using research, analysis, and advanced planning to help you with career planning. EducationPlanner.org will provide you with many careers to research, personal inventories for self-assessment, and post-secondary education preparation. At the conclusion of this unit you will synthesize your information to create a digital infographic about one career to present to your peers!
