Inventors of Ohio Webquest

Introduction

In our classroom, we will discuss the five main inventors from Ohio: Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Granville Woods, Garrett Morgan and Charles Kettering.  Through this webquest you will research one of these inventors to learn more about the positive affects of their inventions.

Task

As you proceed through the webquest your goals are to:

1.  Pick one inventor to research. What inventor has your group chosen?

2. Research the inventor and locate personal data about them.  This should include details such as date of birth, date of death, where they lived, etc... What are the personal data or facts about your inventor?

3. As you research your inventor, you will notice that they may have developed more than one invention.  Your group must decide upon which invention you all believe is the most important, and be prepared to explain why you decided that invention was most important. What is the invention your group has chosen?

4.  What is the positive affect of this invention for our society?

5.  Is there a negative affect of this invention for our society?

6. What motivated your person to create this invention?
