The History of Guitar

Introduction

Where does the guitar come from? How did it become something so popular they we see and hear everyday on television and the radio? You've been hired as a historian for a guitar musuem and it's your job to find where the guitar originated, how it has changed, compare the different kinds of guitars, and find ways how it has become a huge part of American Culture!

Process

Step 1:

In your group, you will decide who will take on the following roles.

Historian- This person is in charge of finding where the guitar originally came from. 

-What country

Journalist- this person will be in charge of the "script". All members should contribute to the script, but the journalist has final say in terms of editing and consistency.

Art Direction- this person is in charge of the layout of the display. Colors, fonts and the overall look of the exhibit is this person's responsibility.

Roadie- this person is responsible for the research of technical aspects of the electric guitar. Step 2- Once you have your roles, begin researching the individual elements of your display. Step 3- Start gathering material so that the art director can start to work on the layout. Step 4- Share information with the other roles and edit as a group. Step 5- Using a tri-fold display board, assemble your exhibit under the watchful eye of the art director. Find an example under photos/docs. Step 6- Present to the class and complete the self-evaluation.
