Introduction

      The Procedural Text tells the readers how to do or make something. The information is presented in logical sequence of events that are broken into steps.      A procedure is a sequence of steps in a particular order. It is also known as instructions or directions. The most common example of procedural text is a recipe.

      Generic structure of procedure text:

  1. Goal section / aim / title ~ to showing the purpose
  2. Material text ~ telling the needed materials 
  3. Steps ~ describing the steps to achieve the purpose

      Language Features of Procedure Text 

  • Using Simple Present Tense 
  • Using action verb. example :slice, turn, put, etc
  • Using Connectives example after that, then
  • Using imperative sentence
