Wonder

On this session we'll work on the fabulous novel Wonder, which you have read before in Language class. We'll do some research on its characters and her author. 

1. Visit the author's website and ask the following questions:

• What's the relation between this song and the book?
• Was she expecting that her novel became so popular?
• Which books does she mention as her favourites?

2. Visit the website imdb and answer the following questions:

• Is there any movie on production based on the book?
• Which actor is going to play the role of August and which was his previous film?
• What about her mother?
• When is expected to be released in cinemas?

3.Read here the interview with RJ Palacio and ask the following questions: 

• Why did she choose to name August to the main character?
• Does she has a son with disabilities?
• What do you think of the line ‘Don’t judge a boy by his face’ which appears on the back cover of the book? 

• Work in groups of 2 or 3 people.

• The research has to be done on the mentioned websites. 

• Prepare a brief document with the answers to each questions. 

• Every group will share their answers to check if the information is correct. 

• Finally, in the last 10 minutes, you all will share your opinions on the last question. 

• Writing of the answers will be evaluated, as well as the quality of your research. 
• Oral speaking will also be evaluated.
