This webques is about the letter of complaint and it will explain the meaning, structure, and the process of writing a Letter of Complaint. 

This webquest requires the students to watch, read, write, and share using different online resources.

Sometimes we need to write a Letter of complaint to complain about different things and in different situations. eg: To complain about an expired product or a bad service at a restaurant. 

Task

At the end of the lesson students should be able to:

  Recognize the structure of a letter of complaint.

 Distinguish mild tone from the strong tone.

Make a conversation using complaint keywords.

Rewrite two extracts expressing complaints using clear and courteous language.

Process

Process 1: watching a video

  • Read the questions on activity 1.
  • take notes while watching the video.
  • Ask your questions at end of the video.

Process 2: Read and share

  • Set in groups of four.
  • Each group reads one section based on their group number. eg: Group number one reads section number 1.
  • Highlight main ideas while reading.

  • In pairs, read page number 7 from the essay.
