Introduction
Have you ever seen the painting "The Red Sun" by Joan Miró or "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso?

We've seen these paintings many times, but what do you really know about the artists who created them, or about what inspired the paintings? What made them famous, and why are they considered to be among the greatest? You are about to find out!
In this web quest you will choose a favorite artist (who does NOT need to be hispanic), research them, and learn what made them influential. You will write a short summary/biography about what you learned, and ultimately recreate one of that artist's paintings of your choosing.

*research the life, history, and impact of their chosen artist via a webquest
*complete a graphic organizer detailing what they learned
*Summarize thos facts into a biography.

Conclusion
I hope you now feel knowledgeable about your chosen artist. You have just completed your artist research in which you learned about the personal and professional background of your artist. Using that information, you created a graphic organizer with information that relates to your artist. All of this information was then compiled into an essay which demonstrates how your artist, images, and research all connect to one another. Did you learn something new about your artist that you didn't know before? Do you have a deeper understanding of your artist and his/her work and influence on the world? Hopefully you can answer 'yes' to these questions now that you've completed the WebQuest.
