But some animals are THREATENED , some are ENDANGERED and others are already EXTINCT.
Task
Task 1

Write down an adequate number of responses on a list on " What are the needs for a living organism to survive?"

What is Extinction?
Why do Animals Extinct?
Conduct a research on it!
Choose theory explain it.

Group and team up with others that had the same theory. Together you will all share your findings and put together your strongest evidence supporting your theory.

Each group talks briefly about the theory.

Then an open debate will begin.

After the debate is over, decided which theory you believe most.

Task 1
Needs for survival:
Start by visiting one of the websites below to start making your list about survival needs and requirements.
Take notes.
You are welcome to find more websites and write down them as sources to return to.
Task 2
Extinction:
What is Extinction? and why does it happen?
what are the most well known extinct species?
Think first, then visit websites provided here about some extinction theories.
After you have explored the site, chose a theory and look for more sites that support your theory.
Take notes and write down your website sources supporting ideas for the next task(3 supporting ideas).
Task 3,4.
Speech/Debate:
Find and group up with friends who choose the same theory.
Discuss your supporting ideas.
Get ready to present your theory and supporting ideas "Proofs and evidences".
You must be an active member in group discussions to get credit. I will be walking around and asking you questions to make sure you are on task.
Your group must give a short speech (no more than 5 minutes) presenting your extinction theory with supporting reasons to the rest of the class.
Each member must present one idea or piece of information supporting an idea to get credit.
After each group has presented we will have an open debate for each group to defend their theory.
Even if you don't think your theory is right you must attempt to defend it in the debate. You will get your chance to explain which theory you believe in the next task.
Task 5.
Essay:
Now is your time to decide which theory is correct! Using support that you researched yourself, or the information your classmates presented in the debate write a persuasive essay about your thoughts.
Make sure to write at least 3 reasons supporting your extinction theory decision, use correct grammar and write in a persuasive way.
