The first role is the teacher. A teacher should have prepared a class lesson plan which should be related to the educational assistant. This helps ensure both parties are aware of the lessons and learning objectives. If the teacher does not relate the information properly to the educational assistant the students won't get the best learning experience. Communication is key in this role.
The second role is the principal. The principal is the person who oversees everything in the school. A successful principal is one that supports the relationships of the students, teachers and educational assistants. If the principal is not supportive of the educational assistant if there is a problem that arises the educational assistant will struggle to find a solution.

A Principal is the educational leader of the school who's job is to ensure every person is prepared and being treated fairly. It is their job to make sure that the educational assistant and the instructor are on the same page, they would do this by creating clear and concise job descriptions for all staff, and instructing the teachers on how to properly evaluate the educational assistants.
A teachers impact on an educational assistant can be positive or detrimental for both staff, as well as for most importantly the students. The teacher must discuss the educational assistants role, establish clear parameters, and help the assistant feel like part of the school community.
