Main Idea.

Introduction

You are to finish the WebQuest on Main Idea before the resource block is finished.

You will need:

  1. Paper
  2. Pencil
  3. Headphones

Process

STEP 1:

Click on the link and watch the video. https://www.brainpop.com/english/writing/mainidea/

After the video, click on the Quiz button and select the GRADED option. When you finish the quiz, print your results and turn it in. 

STEP 2: 

Click on the link and preview the worksheet. http://www.ereadingworksheets.com/reading-worksheets/main-idea-worksheet-4.pdf

Choose 4 passages to identify the main idea and create a title for the passage.

You can write your answers on a sheet of paper, print the worksheet, or open a google doc and share it with the teacher. 

STEP 3:

If you finished step 1 and 2 turn your work into your teacher. 

Once your teacher gives you approval use the links to play review games.

Answer the following questions:

  1. What are some good/bad things about the WebQuest you just went through?
  2. What are your feelings about this WebQuest? (for example: I really liked this WebQuest because... OR I didn't really like this thing called a WebQuest because...)
  3. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest), what would you give this WebQuest?
  4. Share any comments that you would like about this WebQuest, or WebQuests in general.

 

On a scale of 0-3 answer the rate your understanding of Main Idea/Supporting Details.
