There are a lot of questions when it comes to the benefits of lifting weights. Does lifting weights help lose weight, will my muscles increase in size, will it make me smarter? There are articles and websites that make a case for all of these as well as even more benefits. You will be tasked with finding out what really are the benefits of lifting weights and be prepared to back up your conclusion to share with the class.

Task

You will be working through multiple tasks as you research and explore various information on the benefits of lifting weights. You will be assigned the following tasks:

  1. Research and record the benefits of lifting weights.
  2. Describe ways to build muscle
  3. Establish what are the major muscle groups
  4. Research lifting techniques and then create a list of safety precautions to take before and during the process of lifting weights.
  5. Create one cycle of a lifting plan
