Process

Task 1

In pairs, search the internet for information about the landscape and climate of the Arabian Peninsula. Are the landscapes favourable or unfavourable to population settlements? Why?

To help you answer the following information find about the following:

- Where in the globe is the Arabian peninsula?

- find a map of the Arabian Peninsula.

- What are the most important rivers and lakes of the Peninsula?

- What is the relief of the Arabian peninsula like? Mountains? Plateaus? Deserts?

- Name and locate the countries that make up the Arabian Peninsula.

- Find the most important cities in the Arabian peninsula on a Political map. What is the population of each of these cities?

- The Arabian Peninsula is rich in oil. Do you think the oil fields influence the number of cities in this region?

Task 2

You will form groups of 4 people and make a poster or powerpoint presentation using the information you have found to show your conclusions and evidence to answer the following question:

 Are the landscapes on the Arabian peninsular favourable or unfavourable to population settlements? Why?

 

- Your presentations must be of good quality (posters, powerpoints, level of english tec...).

- you must present your mini project to the class and all members in the group must collaborate (speak).

- The presentation must last between 7 and 10 minutes.
