ECOSYSTEM

the term ecosystem was first proposed by A.G.Tansley in 1935. he defined it as "the system resulting from the interaction of all the living and non living factors of the environment".

An ecosystem consists of the biological community that occurs in some locale, and the physical and chemical factors that make up its non living or abiotic environment.

Understands components of an ecosystem

Does not demonstrate understanding of the components of an ecosystem. Demonstrates minimal understanding of components of an ecosystem. Demonstrates moderate understanding of components of an ecosystem. Demonstrates full understanding of components of an ecosystem.
Identifies ways we can protect our ecosystem Does not correctly identify any ways to protect our ecosystem. Correctly identifies 1 way to protect our ecosystem. Correctly identifies 2 ways to protect our ecosystem. Correctly identifies 3 ways to protect our ecosystem.
Ability to value importance of ecosystem components Does not exhibit understanding of value of ecosystem components. Exhibits minimal understanding of value of ecosystem components. Exhibits moderate understanding of value of ecosystem components. Exhibits full understanding of value of ecosystem

Conclusion

CONCLUSION

In conclusion , ecosystems have many moving parts. Due to the important role each component plays, compromising any of them could be detrimental to our world in a relatively short amount of time.
