You will spend some time exploring your interests and then taking the next steps to secure admission to the college, career, or technical school of your choice.
As you complete each item on the list, make sure that you let your advisor know so they can check you off the list.

Things To Do:
- Complete your ILP. If you have previously completed this step, log in and show your advisor you are 100% complete. Ask your Advisor if you need your login info.
- While you're on your ILP, search for some scholarships! Click on the Financial Aid Tab and complete the Financial Aid Selector for a personalized list of scholarships!
- Complete your Parchment registration so you can request transcripts. Log on your to JCPS email. (Select Logins and then Webmail). Search your email for a message from Parchment. Click on the link in the email to complete your registration!
- Create your FSA ID using a non-school related email. Make sure to write your info (ID#, Password, etc) down or plug it into your phone! Your teachers cannot retrieve it for you!
- Use the FAFSA4caster to estimate your federal student aid.
- If you have the correct info (your and your parents' Social Security Numbers), go ahead and fill out the FAFSA for real!
- Complete your Senior Interview Sheet for Mrs. Bolton and return to your advisor. (You got this a couple of weeks ago - ask your Advisor if you need another one!)
- Research some colleges and/or trade schools, and start your application. Need a place to start? Check out the KHEAA publication Getting In: Class of 2018. Scroll down to Chapter 3 for link to schools and programs in KY! Check out your KEES money while you're on the KHEAA site too!
- The next ACT will be administered on December 9th, 2017. If you would like to take the exam, you need to sign up today and submit your request by November 3rd! (You must sign up for an ACT account to register. Again - Make sure you write down all your login info or plug it into your phone. Your teachers cannot retrieve it for you!)
- Research other scholarships at Fast Web, or The Common Application.
- Explore cost, majors, and specifics on colleges and universities by using the National Center for Educational Statistics College Navigator.
