Introduction
Travelling is always an interesting and mind-opening experience for everyone, whether the reason of the trip is pleasure, study or work. Before visiting new cities or countries however, it is important to have a thorough and complete knowledge of the place where we live. In the globalised world of today, cultural exchanges are becoming more and more popular, therefore each one of us should be prepared to show confidence in communicating about our own town with visitors from abroad such as exchange students, tourists and so on, bearing in mind all useful and relevant information. So let's start planning a detailed presentation and itinerary for a tour in the town of Cassino, which we can show to foreign students ( i.e. exchange students in a international twinning project ) at any time in the future.
Task
Your task is to create a digital presentation to make the exchange students become acquanited with all the relevant landmarks and information of the town and organise a few trips to the major monuments and places.
Process
Step 1: Make your digital presentation using a proper app. You may make reference to:
Powerpoint
Step 2: First give some brief, general information on actual info such as geographical location, land extension, population, political organisation etc.
Step 3: Include a brief overview of the history of Cassino from Roman to current times. Try to be concise in this part of the work. This section of the job is not essentially a school historical research. It is an introduction to the main historical events of the town. You need to keep your foreign partner students always attentive and interested in your presentation, that needs to be dynamic and engaging. An exaggeration in details may lead to distraction or even worse to boredom.
Step 4: Spot a relevant figure in the history of Cassino, whom you may consider as emblematic of the historical and cultural importance of our town. Include main information of this figure, as well as reference to his or her works or deeds
Step 5: Include a short film or a video such as a documentary on some major events of the town. If you wish, you may find useful info surfing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdvbyB2nvg

Step 6: list some landmarks (monuments/buildings/museums) you intend to visit with them and provide info and illustrations. Use images/pictures or links showing short videos downloaded from the Internet as an appetizer. For help in selecting these sights and attractions you may use reviews referring to:

For photos and images you may make reference to:

After illustrating the sights, don't forget to make also a short itinerary for each attraction/monument selected including: meeting points, time schedule, breaks for meals, etc. You could print out these itineraries to hand out to your foreign partner students for their use.
Step 7: Add information on how to get around the town eventually on their own (should they ever be in need) such as public transport timetables ( buses, trains ), useful contact numbers and maps of the town. You may want to download info from the Internet.

Step 8: Last but not least, always remember these few tips also mentioned in step no. 3: your presentation needs always to be dynamic and catchy. It should be informative but not too wordy, to maintain always the attention high.
