Today we are going to learn what these five senses are and how to use them by watching Five Senses song by PBS kids. We will then discuss what example it gave for each sense.By the end of this lesson we will be able to identify each sense using our own senses. Then we will provide an example on a folded piece of paper with the correct labeling.

We will now discuss the examples used in the video.

How do we use our sense of sight? With our ears

How do we use our sense of hear ? With our ears

How do we use our sense of touch? With our hands

How do we use our sense of taste? With our tongue

Now what did we use to hear this video? We used our ears, point to your ears.

What did we use to see this video? We used our eyes, point to your eyes.

Now touch the nearest object to you, you used your hands to touch.

What do we use when we drink water or milk? We use our sense of taste.

Now it's your turn! Follow the directions below and begin!

The student will now fold a piece of paper hot dog style. Then draw a line straight down following the crease of the line. Then draw to line going across. There should be six boxes. We will be using five boxes only since there is five senses. You are to write each sense in a box then draw an example of that sense.
