This is because of the alleged human rights violations in the form of state-sponsored killings executed under the "drug war" which is one of the flagship programs of the administration. The situation has even called the attention of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). However, human rights violations have been existing for a very long time not only in the Philippines but also in many countries around the world.
In this lesson, you will learn about the forms of human rights violations, its effects, and its specific examples. Moreover, you are expected to enumerate different approaches to solve, mitigate, and suppress human rights violations.
