The goal of this session is for students to think about the environment of Mars, which has the most similar environment with the Earth. By planning how to survive in Mars, they can improve their understanding of the planet.
Introduction
Welcome to fourth session! In this session, you will be one astronauts! Imagine you've been isolated on Mars like in the movie "The Martian." Your goal is to survive and return home safely. Together, we'll explore the challenges of living on Mars and come up with creative solutions to help you survive. Are you ready to participate in this adventure?
Task
After watching a summary of the movie "The Martian," you will find out the way to survive and create a survival plan for living on Mars. You will research one of the important aspects of survival on Mars, such as food, water, shelter, and oxygen. Then, you'll upload your plan in English on the padlet and explain how you would overcome the challenges.
Process
Step1: Watch a brief summary of "The Martian" to understand the challenges of being isolated on Mars.
(If it is too hard to listen English explanation, you can use ‘subtitle’ to understand well.)
Step2: Research on one of the different survival aspects (food, water, shelter, oxygen) using the provided links You wiill focus on one topic.
