In this WebQuest, you will become an Eco-Champion. You will learn about the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (Republic Act No. 9003) and discover how practicing the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle can help protect our community and our country.

Task

Imagine that your barangay is launching a campaign to encourage residents to properly manage their waste.

Working in groups of 3–4 members, you will:

Research the importance of proper waste management in the Philippines.

Learn about Republic Act No. 9003.

Identify common household wastes found in Filipino homes.

Classify wastes as biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclable, or residual.

Create a digital poster or infographic encouraging proper waste segregation and the practice of the 3Rs.
