Title: Noun Detectives: Hunting Common and Proper Nouns Online

Introduction

Welcome, Grade 7 Noun Detectives!

Have you ever wondered why we write Manila with a capital letter but the word city with a small letter? Why is Maria Makiling capitalized while the word girl is not? These are the secrets of common nouns and proper nouns.

In this WebQuest, you will become real language detectives. You will search Philippine educational websites and reading materials to discover the difference between common nouns and proper nouns. You will collect examples from our own country, organize them into an interactive chart or digital poster, and create a short quiz for your classmates. By the end of this quest, you will understand when to capitalize nouns and why correct grammar matters in writing about our beloved Philippines.

Get ready  the hunt begins!
